GIS & Spatial Analysis
The maps below are examples of a spatial analysis of vegetation patterns in the City of Portland. Using spatial pattern analysis software (FRAGSTATS and ArcGIS 10), the maps represent two landscape pattern metrics at the census block level - total pecentage of canopy and the fragmentation of canopy conditions (Figure 1 & 2).
